Life Readiness Lessons:
Situational Emotional Awareness, Power of Music

______________________________________

Music is Poetry to Me has almost a slow-moving southern
quality in the rhythm of the song that encourages children to
find the sounds in the instruments of the world that heal and
soothe their hearts while also being aware of the sounds
that can hurt their hearts (and others ears.)
Music is Poetry to Me teaches the power of sound to
heal or harm while encouraging self-awareness and
self control to create a world of harmony.

MOTTO

PROBLEM
Irritating sounds/ colors/ images

Have you ever heard a sound that scared your or made you jump?
What was it? Was it loud? What did it sound like?

SOLUTION
If you were to make a sound that would make you feel better, what would that be?
What would it sound like?

Just like these instruments, there are sounds everywhere! We can make all sorts of different sounds.

What kind of sounds do these instruments make? Are they loud or soft?

IMAGINE USING LIFE READY TOOL
Sounds, colors, and images can irritate us! But they can also make us feel happy.
Where in your body does it feel like when you hear loud, irritating sounds?
Where in your body does it feel like to hear soft, beautiful sounds?

What is your favorite kind of music?
What is your favorite song or instrument?
